Geocaching is an outdoor activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. This session will focus on providing information on geocaching, how to use the GPS receiver and will end with a treasure hunt. For the treasure hunt, the group will be organized into small teams which will work together to solve clues and using the GPS receiver, find a hidden treasure.

A Tale of Many Bubbles

In this period of uncertainty in the financial markets, more information is always a good thing for everyday investors (i.e., us).  In that spirit, this presentation will be dedicated to the telling of the tales of past bubbles in the financial markets, starting with the Tulip Bulb Bubble and South Sea Bubble and ending with the most recent Housing Bubble and Subprime Debt Bubble.  We will go on a journey of discovery, weaving through the many follies that were and still are being committed by everyone in the finance industry, from small-fry investors to behemoth investment houses like Lehman Brothers.  Hopefully, at the end of this presentation, we will all come out with a deeper understanding of the workings of financial bubbles, and the damages that can be wrought by a lethal combination of greed, hubris and panic.
